Defenders of Wildlife-Defenders of Wildlife is dedicated to the protection of all native wild animals and plants in their natural communities. National Resources Defense Council- NRDC is the nation's most effective environmental action organization. We use law, science and the support of 1.2 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things.
Heal the Bay- Going to the beach this weekend? Want to know if the water is clean? Do not leave your house without checking this site for the lastest beach report on your favorite beach. The site also has a list of upcoming events like Bay Days and Ocean Discovery Day that you can volunteer for or learn more about.
Upper Newport Bay - Want to research one of the last great estuaries in southern California? Thinking about taking up bird watching? This web site gives you the information you need to investigate the wonders of this supereb estuary. There is a map of the area which includes the locations of the Marine Studies Center and the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center which are both worth visiting.
